I’m Emerald Maria, a surrealist artist who creates from emotion, often inspired by my own personal experiences while navigating my 20’s. My work explores themes of mental health, both the positive and negative, and transforming those experiences into something visually striking—sometimes dark, sometimes whimsical, but always genuine. Alongside painting, I enjoy creating clay trinkets and trays. I like to experiment with a variety of aesthetics such as weirdcore or playful kawaii designs to step away from the intense themes my paintings often exhibit and just have fun.

For me, art is more than just creating—it’s a way of communicating what I can’t always put into words. It helps me express my thoughts and emotions in a way that feels natural, and through my work, I hope to inspire others to embrace creativity, self-expression, and experimentation.

My goal is to build a sustainable art career selling my original paintings to collectors, exhibiting in more galleries nationwide and worldwide, and growing my online presence to make my art accessible to those who connect with it. In the future, I want to own my own galleries—spaces where unconventional, expressive, and thought-provoking art can thrive.
